Chinese Snowball Viburnum

Viburnum macrocephalum

Plant portrait: Great round flower clusters open green and mature to white, turning the shrub into a spring constellation.

Garden rhythm: Large deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub; spring bloom, sun to part shade, moderate water.

Garden companions: The showy sterile form provides spectacle but little or no fruit; ecological value differs from fruiting viburnums.
